The Perfect Knit Dress

This week I am showing you how I styled the pieces from my earlier post. As you can see I am wearing my gorgeous Fenn Wright Manson jumper dress and my New Look boots, that I am now even more in love with after styling. The pieces on their own have a modern 60’s feel to them so I thought I’d play around with eras and mix and match. You might recognize the jacket from an Individual Pieces post I did a while back (If you read the blog that is and if you don’t shame on you, it’s great) all about meeting a fellow blogger that I adore and some pieces that I bought from her stall at a vintage market in Southsea.
The jacket is an amazing 80’s peplum style with a crocodile effect embossed in the fabric and small tassels hanging off the front and back. I love the way the jacket and dress clash with such different silhouettes. To accessorize I wore some chunky silver and black socks that resemble leg warmers (another 80’s classic) to pick up on the lighter colours in the dress and understated silver jewelry. Lastly I put on my adorable silver cuff hair piece from H&M and some dark 90’s style olive green lipstick from Lime Crime. I am crazy about this look with all of its strange lines and patterns that make it so interesting.
