So if you follow me on Instagram you would’ve seen a picture of me in a hotel with the promise of more info today and if you don’t follow me then I suggest you do @wornoncebefore (if you’d like to stay updated with the blog) but you’ll notice by the title that I took a little trip to Brighton.
The trip was planned around mine and my boyfriends 4 year anniversary. Cute, I know. We tend not to do a lot on anniversaries but I really wanted to go to Brighton again because I love it, so we booked a hotel and went. The hotel we stayed in was called My Brighton and was super funky with great room designs and colourful imagery everywhere. We loved staying there and it was right in the middle of everything so I’d definitely recommend it!
We did all the usual things, visited the high street, the seafront and gambled a bit on slot machines at the arcade which was fun. We then decided to go on the Brightoni360 which was great and feels really futuristic as you can see from some of the images above. Obviously if you are scared of heights I wouldn’t recommend entering a pod full of windows that reaches 450 feet above ground but if you’re not worried about heights I’d recommend it as the views are pretty awesome.
Lastly we went to my favourite part of Brighton which of course is the Lanes. I think I love them so much because they remind me of Venice when you walk through them and they also house some of the most interesting shops around as well as cafe’s and restaurants. As you can see we stopped at a small Mexican place down the Lanes it was by far the best quesadilla I’ve ever had. I didn’t buy much during this trip but the pieces I did get are great and you’ll see them in future posts (except for the fedora which was in my last outfit post).
My look for Brighton was all based around this gorgeous green structured jacket and as you can see I paired it with two very different looks. The first day (the first image) being quite understated with waxed jeans and a vintage shirt to keep the focus on the jacket. The second day (the last image) being quite loud with a bold printed co-ord that complemented the green in the jacket making the entire outfit a statement look. Two easy looks with one statement piece.
In summary, if you’ve never been to Brighton I highly suggest it. I try to go whenever I can as it’s always evolving and growing into a place that’s even more beautiful in all areas.
